About the Project
The construction of the power plant began in 2016. The power plant is located on the mountain plateaus east of the municipal center in Roan. Einarsdalen runs through the power plant, dividing the development area into two. The wind turbines are of the type Vestas V117, which have a tower height of 87 meters and a maximum output of 3.6 MW.
The wind farm is owned by Aneo Roan Wind Holding with 60% and Nordic Wind Power with 40%. Aneo Wind Holding is owned 51% by Aneo and 49% by Stadtwerke München. Nordic Wind Power is owned 50% by EIP (Energy Infrastructure Partners AG) and 50% by BKW (as of 2023) which is owned by Aneo. The park is operated by Aneo.
LOCAL VALUE CREATION in the host municipality
We create opportunities
– together with the municipalities
When we produce renewable energy, we not only contribute to the green transition — we also economically support the local communities we are part of. Host municipalities receive revenue through taxes and fees that they control.
Below you can see actual revenue paid to the host municipality in 2024 from facilities we operate, with fictional examples of how it can be used.
