Bessakerfjellet Wind Farm is a wind power plant located on Bessakerfjellet in Åfjord municipality, Sør-Trøndelag. It was constructed from July to November 2007 with twelve wind turbines, and an additional thirteen were built in the summer of 2008.

About the Project

The official opening of the wind farm was on October 3, 2008. It is owned by Midgard Vind (70% Stadtwerke München, 30% Aneo). The operator is Aneo.

The Møllestua at the top of Bessakerfjellet wind farm has become one of Fosen's most visited attractions. It was gifted to the local community and volunteers when the wind farm was opened in 2008. Interested in visiting yourself? See more information about the trip here.
