Why solar power at Løvbergsmoen?
As Norway is electrified to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, there is an increasing need for more power production. At the same time, solar power offers us a unique opportunity to strengthen the Norwegian power balance, while providing cheap, green electricity and contributing to the establishment of new industries.
Outdoor recreation will be minimally affected, and hiking trails and forest roads will be preserved wherever possible. After the project period, the area will be restored to its original state. The planned start, given the concession application, is in 2026.

Four good reasons why we want to establish solar power plants in Løvbergsmoen
01 Good Solar Resource
The area has abundant access to solar energy, ensuring efficient power generation.
03 Short distance to transformer and network
Proximity to existing infrastructure (such as substations and several forest roads) makes it both cost-effective and practical to integrate the solar power plant into the power grid.
02 Meets a Critical Need
Løvbergsmoen is situated in a region already facing a scarcity of available power. A solar power plant here will help meet the demand in the area. It is sensible to produce power where it is used, and here, the power production is close to consumption.
04 FAVORABLE TOPOGRAPHY
The landscape in the area is well-suited for solar panel installations, with flat or gently sloping surfaces that maximize solar harvesting.
Why Aneo?
The renewable energy group Aneo was established in the fall of 2022, through a collaboration between the power company TrønderEnergi and the investment fund HitecVision. We have just over 300 employees, with our headquarters in Trondheim. Aneo is built on 70 years of experience in the development and operation of large power projects, and owns and operates nine wind farms in Central Norway, as well as two in Sweden and one in Finland. In fact, despite our modest size, we are Norway's second-largest developer of wind power. We operate more than 200 wind turbines and monitor production 24/7 for optimal operation, efficiency, and safety.

We have extensive experience collaborating with municipalities, where we have built strong relationships with both residents, politicians, and the administration. Together with local authorities, we are creating the energy solutions of the future, with a focus on safety and presence in the local community.
In sum, this provides Aneo with experience and expertise that serves as a solid foundation for contributing to the energy transition. Aneo's goal is to be a significant contributor to the energy transition that Europe must undergo, and over the next few years, they plan to invest up to 20 billion NOK in project development and acquisition of renewable energy throughout the Nordic region.
