Frøya Wind Farm is located in an area called Nessadalen, between Skardsvågen and Hallaren on South Frøya. Here, 14 wind turbines have been constructed. The project commenced in the spring of 2019.

About the Project
The wind park is owned by German Stadtwerke München (70%) and Aneo (30%).
The plan area covers 6.6 km2 and is set to produce 201.8 GWh during operation. The total installed capacity is 60 MW. The turbines are Danish, Vestas V136. The hub height is 112 meters, with a rotor diameter of 135 meters.

As a recreation initiative, we have built a shelter with a dock and a pathway at Ytre Damvatnet. The initiative is universally designed and is available and open for everyone to use.

When we produce renewable energy, we don’t just contribute to the green transition – we also contribute economically to the local communities we are part of. Host municipalities receive revenue through taxes and fees that the municipalities themselves control.
