Trainee

Our Trainee Program

A trainee position is a two-year temporary internship with the possibility of permanent employment upon completion of the program. The start is usually in September and ends in June. This is an excellent opportunity to gain the necessary experience that will provide a springboard for further career advancement.

What to Expect as a Trainee with Us

As a trainee, you become part of our trainee program. The program consists of training, independent work, and the opportunity to rotate between several departments and professional areas. At the start of the internship period, the focus is mainly on training and an introduction to the organization and the field, but over time you will take part in regular work tasks. Placement within the group is based on your academic background and preferences, in combination with the group's needs.

You will be assigned a coordinator who will follow you throughout your time with us, in addition to guidance from the professional manager in the unit or department to which you are assigned at any given time.

As a trainee, you can expect close follow-up, personal professional development, individually tailored tasks, participation in projects, seminars, and excursions (including visits to hydro and wind power facilities, microgrids, and similar sites). Our program is designed to give you the best possible start to your journey, from student to professional - a springboard for what comes next.

Through the trainee program, you become part of a larger group of trainees, which provides a safe social platform within the company. There will be several gatherings with the trainees throughout the year, in addition to joint projects at work. The gatherings can be anything from an evening of paintball and dinner to a week together at one of our wind power plants.

In addition, it is up to the trainees to create a good social environment outside of work, and there has traditionally been a focus on birthday celebrations, trips outdoors, and dinners.

The best part about being a trainee is definitely the social cohesion within the group and having others in the same situation as yourself!
