Aneo and Sunna Group invited people on June 11 to the official opening of one of Sweden's largest ground-mounted solar plant.
Henja solar plant began power production in March, but the official opening took place in Gislaved, Sweden on June 11. With local residents and industry professionals present, the park was declared open by Aneo and Sunna Group upon energization. The solar plant is among Sweden's largest ground-mounted solar power plants, developed and built in collaboration with the Swedish development company Sunna Group, where Aneo became a shareholder in September 2022.

Favorable conditions for rapid solar power expansion in Sweden
Aneo has invested around 100 million NOK in its first large-scale solar plant in Sweden.
– We have completed this project in record time. From the start of project development to the commissioning of the park, only two years have passed, thanks to our skilled partners at Sunna Group and a highly time-efficient process for permits and grid connection. We now hope to see similar developments in Norway, where the demand for new renewable power production is as high as in Sweden, says Aneo's Executive Vice President for Renewable Portfolio and Growth, Kari Skeidsvoll Moe.

Open access for the public
Henja solar plant is the largest solar park in Sweden without fencing. Executive Vice President Kari Skeidsvoll Moe commends developer Sunna Group and believes Henja is a good example of gentle renewable power development – partly because the park is located in a fire-damaged area.
– At Aneo, we work purposefully for the most gentle development of new renewable power production possible. In Gislaved, natural re-vegetation will be monitored in the coming years, providing valuable insights for further solar power development. Additionally, the solar panels are installed without fencing, making the solar plant accessible for both animals and people.

About Aneo
Aneo is a Nordic renewable energy group headquartered in Trondheim, with the energy company TrønderEnergi and the investment fund HitecVision as owners. Aneo was established in the fall of 2022 and aims to contribute to power development, electrification, and energy efficiency – ensuring that the necessary energy transition is profitable for the group's customers, owners, and society.
About Sunna Group
Sunna Group was founded in June 2021, with the ambition to increase the amount of solar energy in the energy system by developing, owning, and managing large-scale solar power in the Nordics. Sunna increases access to green, locally produced solar energy, which enables faster regional establishment and expansion of companies, as well as support for the electrification of society. Sunna aims to build 500 MW by 2025 – equivalent to about half of Sweden's largest hydropower plant – and 1 GW is expected to be in production by 2030. Learn more at www.sunnagroup.com.
