Aneo strengthens its solar power efforts in Sweden – Skånum solar park in operation
Press Release

Aneo continues to expand renewable power in the Nordics, and Skånum solar park in Falköping, Sweden, is now operational. The facility covers around 40 hectares and will produce approximately 31 GWh of renewable energy annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 6,200 Swedish households.
The solar park was developed in collaboration with Swedish Sunna Group, and marks a new step in Aneo's efforts in solar power as an important complement to wind and hydropower.
– Skånum solar park is a good example of how we work: efficiently, in close collaboration with strong partners and with clear ambitions to contribute to the energy transition. We are seeing strong demand for new renewable power, and this project shows that it is possible to develop and complete facilities quickly when we work purposefully. In addition, I would like to commend the collaboration with Sunna and with contractor Alstra Energy for an efficient and solution-oriented execution, says Beate Nesje, project manager at Aneo.
Aneo, together with Sunna, has thereby once again completed a project that from construction start to commercial operation has taken under a year, which shows how efficient solar power development can be.
The CEO of Sunna Group, Marcus Qviberg, highlights the collaboration as a key factor:
– This project is yet another proof of what it takes to succeed in today's energy market: strong partnerships, clear focus, and high execution capability. Many people have worked hard to make this happen, and it is very gratifying to now see Skånum solar park in operation. The facility is an important contribution to more renewable energy in the Swedish power system, and a clear example of how we can together help accelerate the energy transition. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Aneo for the excellent collaboration, and to Alstra Energy for a solidly executed project, says Qviberg.
Efficient use of land
Skånum solar park has been established on a low-yield agricultural area. Now that the area is being used for power production, the project shows how solar power can create new value for land areas while also contributing to local value creation and increased access to renewable energy. The solar park is prepared for possible future grazing by sheep, and has also been built in a way that allows free passage.

Skånum Solar Park will become Aneo’s third solar power plant in operation and is one of two ground-mounted solar plants currently under construction in Falköping. The solar park has been developed by, and is being built in collaboration with, the Swedish development company Sunna Group, in which Aneo is also a shareholder.
