About Solar Power
Brighter days begin with solar power
Solar power plant on your site?
Are you a landowner curious to know if you have suitable land?
A solar power plant can provide you with a stable and long-term income, either as pure solar production or in combination with other land uses, such as grazing or agriculture.
We take care of the entire process from development and installation to operation and maintenance. You only need to consider the opportunities.

Which areas are suitable for solar power – and which are not?
Solar power requires areas with good sun exposure, proximity to the power grid, and limited environmental impact. Here is an overview of what are considered suitable and less suitable areas for solar power development.
Suitable areas
Mature forest, grazing areas (especially for sheep)
Flat, contiguous areas of at least 150 acres
Arable land suitable for combination with solar power production
Proximity to the power grid and substation
Areas for new cultivation where joint operations can be planned from the start
Areas already affected by human activity
Less suitable areas
Bog, wetland, rocky and rugged terrain
Protected areas and regions of high natural value
Popular hiking areas
Our Process
A solar power plant can provide you with a stable and long-term income, whether as pure solar energy production or in combination with other land uses, such as grazing or agriculture. We handle the entire process from development and installation to operation and maintenance. You only need to consider the possibilities.
The Benefits of Solar Power and Aneo as a Partner
Good revenues from less productive areas
Solar power can generate substantial income from otherwise unproductive land and can additionally be combined with agriculture for increased profitability. As a landowner, you receive either a fixed income per area/production (GWh) or a share of the electricity sales revenue.
Cooperation, solar energy, and agriculture
Coexisting with solar power and food production can increase the revenue from your land. You gain income from both food production and power generation. Experience from other countries shows that solar panels can be positioned with enough space to provide sufficient area for crops to grow, allowing sheep to graze, for example. At the same time, we see that sheep often seek shelter under the panels during changes in weather. Cows and goats can also graze around the solar panels, but this requires an adapted design.
A serious and long-term partner
With the legacy of TrønderEnergi, we are a serious, long-term power plant developer, having built, owned, and operated power plants for over 70 years. Therefore, we ensure a solid foundation for collaboration with landowners and local communities. We strive for long-term partnerships and balanced agreements with open dialogue to secure the necessary permits to realize our projects.
Solar power and diligence
We are actively working to establish a sustainable supply chain in collaboration with the industry and the Solar Energy Cluster. We regularly conduct due diligence assessments to identify potential and actual negative impacts of our operations. Read more about Aneo, solar energy, and due diligence here.
