Aneo has invested around 100 million kroner in what will become one of Sweden's largest solar plants. The plant in Gislaved is now nearing readiness for production.
Taking Shape
The solar plant under construction in southern Sweden is the first large-scale solar power plant in Aneo's portfolio. From the decision to build to completion, it will take less than a year. The park is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
– The construction of the Gislaved solar plant is a significant milestone for Aneo’s commitment to new renewable power production. We are very pleased that our first large-scale solar project is on track in cooperation with our partner Sunna Group, says Kari Skeidsvoll Moe, Executive Vice President of Growth Renewable Energy at Aneo.

The Gislaved solar park will produce 15 GWh per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of approximately 3,000 households.
One of Sweden’s Largest Solar Plants
Upon completion, the Gislaved solar power plant will be one of Sweden's largest solar plants, larger than any ground-mounted solar plants in Norway to date. The plant is being built on an area of approximately 270 hectares and will have an installed capacity of 15.5 megawatts (MW) and an annual production of 15 gigawatt-hours (GWh).
The solar plant is being developed in collaboration with the Swedish development company Sunna Group, where Aneo took ownership in September 2022.
Building New Renewable Power Gently
The soon-to-be operational solar plant is being constructed on land damaged by fire. Executive Vice President Kari Skeidsvoll Moe praises the partnership with Sunna Group, stating that Gislaved is a good example of gentle development of renewable energy.
– At Aneo, we work purposefully for the gentlest possible development of new renewable power production. Here in Gislaved, natural revegetation will be monitored in the coming years, which will provide valuable knowledge for further solar power development, believes Skeidsvoll Moe.

About Sunna Group
Sunna Group was founded in June 2021, with the ambition to increase the amount of solar energy in the energy system by developing, owning, and managing large-scale solar power in the Nordics. Together with long-term capital partners, Sunna is a sustainable player in the Swedish energy market. Sunna increases access to green, locally produced solar energy, enabling faster regional company establishment and expansion, as well as supporting the electrification of society. Sunna aims to build 500 MW by 2025 – equivalent to approximately half of Sweden's largest hydropower plant – and 1 GW should be in production by 2030. Read more at www.sunnagroup.com
