Aneo opened an office in Aarhus, Denmark, in January, marking their entry into a new country with energy efficiency solutions for the retail sector. Michael Kønig will lead Aneo Retail Denmark's efforts alongside his colleague Mads Jensen.
In a "joint venture" with the Danish technology group Danfoss, Aneo Retail is expanding its successful energy service solutions from Sweden into the Danish grocery market. The parties established the company Aneo Retail Denmark AS in 2023 and are now continuing their cooperation in a new market.
The company will serve the Danish grocery market, offering refrigeration and other technical systems to grocery stores as a service. The company will operate according to the same model that Aneo has been highly successful with in Norway and Sweden.
Offering customers a green "all-in-one" service solution
Aneo Retail has developed the service model "Energy as a service," which allows grocery stores to subscribe to technical systems as a service. The concept provides customers with a highly flexible solution, giving them access to new and energy-efficient equipment—without large investments and high upfront costs. The concept is offered with a performance guarantee on energy, operational reliability, and running costs, ensuring customers peace of mind for technical operations and nearly 100 percent predictable operating costs.
Set ambitious goals for 2024
Michael Kønig is hired from January 1st to lead Aneo Retail's operations in Denmark, joining with Mads Jensen. Both have worked with cooling products and services in the retail industry in Denmark for several years.
– We have already received many positive reactions from potential partners in both retail and the refrigeration industry. We look forward to initiating our first projects already in the first half of 2024, and expect to operate a double-digit number of facilities by the end of the year, says Sales Manager Michael Kønig.
Kønig confirms that the cooperation with Danfoss is already well underway in Denmark.
