Aneo Mobility acquires Movel

Acquisition

- A strategically important acquisition that makes us an even more complete provider, says Kristin Sæterøy, CEO of Aneo Mobility, in connection with the purchase of the charging operator Movel.

Aneo Mobility is currently one of Norway’s largest providers of electric vehicle charging solutions for housing cooperatives and joint ownership properties.
With the acquisition of Movel, we are expanding our product portfolio and can now offer market-leading charging services, tailored to the evolving needs of even more customers.

"Aneo is a knowledgeable and financially solid owner that ensures we can continue developing Movel. Together, the two companies will deliver even better solutions to a broader customer base," says Per Th. Magnor, CEO of Movel.

The acquisition of Movel strengthens Aneo Mobility’s offering to housing cooperatives and shared ownership communities.
In addition to our “all-in-one” solution, we can now also operate existing charging infrastructure. As the number of electric vehicles increases, the complexity of charging systems grows. Many customers are experiencing challenges with sufficient capacity and are seeking a provider that takes broader responsibility for ensuring reliable charging for residents. Together, we are better positioned for further growth – both in Norway and internationally.

"Movel serves a different customer segment and offers complementary products. With their strong market position, we now become two companies offering a much more complete and competitive package," says Sæterøy.

The companies complement each other well and, overnight, become a full-service provider of EV charging solutions – putting customer needs first, whether it's operating the charging system or managing the entire charging infrastructure on behalf of residential communities.

Movel was founded in 2016 by three entrepreneurs – Per Th. Magnor, Ole Hundstuen, and Gunnar Alberg – and has since built solid expertise in smart and cost-effective EV charging for residential and commercial buildings. Notably, OBOS has selected Movel as its preferred partner.

"They’ve impressed us all along and accomplished a lot. The company has a great culture and a proactive, agile attitude – which aligns very well with how we work," says Sæterøy, adding:

"This clearly strengthens us and is an important step in making Aneo Mobility even more agile, competitive, and future-ready."

For now, the two companies will continue to operate independently in the market, but efforts to realize synergies and closely collaborate to strengthen customer offerings will begin immediately.
