Acquisition

Dec 19, 2024

In connection with a major reorganization and refocusing of Aneo to effectively deliver on our long-term ambitions, two new group executives have joined Gunnar Hovland's leadership team. Both Guro Gravdehaug and Børre Sivertsvoll have been promoted from within the ranks of Aneo.

Joining the corporate management team are Guro Gravdehaug as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Børre Sivertsvoll as Executive Vice President of Operations.

— We have now organized our corporate management in a way that best positions us to achieve our long-term goals in meeting challenging times in the years ahead, and I am very pleased that we have the expertise in-house, says CEO Gunnar Hovland.

Guro Gravdehaug is the new Executive Vice President of Corporate Development

Guro Gravdehaug has been with Aneo since the summer of 2023 as Head of Business Development, responsible for growth strategy and commercial development. She started her career at Thema Consulting Group and has since held leadership positions at Hafslund and Statkraft. Her education is in industrial economics and technology management from NTNU.

Gravdehaug is stepping in as Executive Vice President in the newly established Corporate Development unit, where key functions for the group's further development are consolidated, including digitalization, transformation, HR, security, legal, sustainability, strategy, and M&A.

— Like many of my colleagues, I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable future. It is precisely this opportunity that I have here at Aneo, and I am proud to now lead a very diverse, competent, and commercial team to realize significant growth ambitions, and hopefully, be a good team builder who ensures that a number of talented people can carry out their duties effectively, says Guro Gravdehaug.

Børre Sivertsvoll becomes Executive Vice President of Operations

Børre Sivertsvoll is stepping into the corporate management as Executive Vice President of Operations, responsible for the operation of Aneo's facilities. He has been with the TrønderEnergi system since 2019, serving as CTO, head of the company's engineering resources and technicians, and holding several board positions in Aneo's subsidiaries. He has a broad background from supplier, network, and consultancy companies, providing a clear expertise in energy supply.

Sivertsvoll is transitioning from being head of operations to becoming Executive Vice President for the Operations area and will continue as general manager of Aneo Vind AS.

In recent years, Aneo has established a competent and robust organization for the operation of wind power plants. Alongside the wind power development here in Central Norway, we began developing our operations organization, and this year, we have taken over the operational responsibility for several of the wind farms from the supplier. This marks the transition from planning to operational management, and Operations is now becoming part of corporate management. It has been incredibly exciting to be a central part of this development and to contribute to making Operations a vital competitive advantage for Aneo moving forward as a central part of our complete value chain in renewable energy, says Børre Sivertsvoll.

A leadership team to meet strategy and ambition

Gunnar Hovland, who started as CEO of Aneo at the beginning of 2024, is very satisfied with his new leadership team:

— I am very pleased that Guro and Børre want to be part of the leadership team that will help elevate Aneo to a leading Nordic renewable energy group in the coming years. Both have proven to be competent, decisive leaders with a strong commitment to the strategy, our complete value chain, and our societal mission. Guro brings extensive experience from key positions in large Nordic renewable energy groups, which will be important for the responsibility of Corporate Development. Similarly, Børre has long and extensive operations experience from various functions and companies, with the responsibility for Operations, says Hovland.

The changes took effect on November 1st, and the organization of the units is effective from December 1st. At the same time, as Gravdehaug and Sivertsvoll embark on their new roles in top management, both Gøril Forbord and Jon Holstad have found new key roles in the group in the Energy Markets and CFO areas, respectively.
