The renewable energy group Aneo strengthens its focus in Sweden through a new partnership with Renewable Power Capital.

Since its establishment in the autumn of 2022, Aneo has become a significant Nordic market player, with activities in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. Now, they are increasing their market share in Sweden with a new wind farm.

- On behalf of Renewable Power Capital, Aneo will manage physical power trading and balancing services for Klevberget Wind Farm. This is an important partnership for Aneo as a Nordic renewable player, and for the Energy Management unit, says Hilde Landsem, Executive Vice President of Energy Management at Aneo.

The wind farm is located in Ånge municipality, in Västernorrlands county, between Östersund and Sundsvall. The wind farm has an installed capacity of 146.4 MW and an expected annual production of approximately 425 GWh. The wind farm is currently under construction and is expected to start power production in the summer/fall of 2023.

Scalable Platform

Aneo's digital and scalable platform, and not least its expertise, is built for growth in the Nordics. With advanced models and automated solutions, Aneo can actively participate in the various power markets. The services in Sweden will be performed by Aneo's technology and expertise in Central Norway, together with RPC, which has its headquarters in London.

- Renewable Power Capital is a professional partner with significant expertise and growth ambitions in the Nordic and European power market. We look forward to getting started and firmly believe that together we will contribute to the green energy transition in Europe, says Landsem.

Renewable Power for the Automotive Industry

In May, RPC entered into a long-term power agreement with FORVIA, the world's seventh-largest technology provider in the automotive industry. Klevberget Wind Farm is among the facilities to supply renewable power for this production. RPC's Director of Power Markets, Steve Hunter, is pleased that Aneo assists with its expertise in physical power trading and balancing services.

- We believe we have found the right partner to increase flexibility and opportunities in this project. Aneo's expertise and experience are crucial for scaling renewable energy as efficiently as possible. This partnership marks that we are one step closer to commissioning Klevberget and actively delivering green power to the Swedish power system, says Hunter.
