The collaboration with EnBW, Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, further equips Aneo for growth in the Nordic region. The efforts are now reinforced through a new agreement on physical power trading for eight wind farms in Sweden.

In November last year, just a few months after the company's establishment, Aneo signed its first agreement for physical power trading and balancing services in Sweden. Now, the volume is further increased by 323 GWh through a new agreement with EnBW for eight wind farms in Sweden.

- The agreement means that Aneo is the balance responsible party and will handle physical power trading and balancing services for EnBW's entire portfolio in Sweden. The fact that we are now more than doubling the volume in Sweden, just a few months after Aneo's establishment, shows that we are establishing a solid foothold as a Nordic player, says Ragnhild Remmen Bull, Head of Energy Management Services at Aneo.

Wind farms across Sweden

The agreement with the eight new wind farms will come into effect on April 1. Previously, Aneo was a power market participant for the Trattberget wind power plant in Sweden.

- The Trattberget wind power plant is located in Örnsköldsvik municipality and has an annual production of approximately 200 GWh. The other eight farms are distributed across the price areas SE2, SE3, and SE4, says Remmen Bull.

A player with great potential

With 70 years of experience as a hydropower player and over 15 years with its own wind power portfolio, Aneo can combine long industrial experience from the power industry with some of the most innovative technologies in the market. EnBW, on the other hand, has over 26,000 employees and supplies around 5.5 million customers with electricity, gas, water, as well as services and products within infrastructure and energy.

- Our own AI department and Energy Management unit build models and automated solutions that enable Aneo to participate actively in the various power markets. EnBW is one of the largest energy companies in Germany and Europe, and together we are a significant player with great potential in forecasting and trading power in the Nordics, says Remmen Bull.
