The goal of all Aneo's activities is to contribute to a sustainable energy transition in the Nordic region.
– To achieve this, we must produce more electricity, replace fossil energy, and use energy more efficiently. At the same time, we must also be profitable. The energy transition must simply be profitable for our customers, society, and us, or it won't happen. Therefore, we must organize our operations in such a way that it supports this dual objective as efficiently as possible. This means using our resources to ensure the greatest possible reduction in greenhouse gas emissions while also providing a reasonable return to our shareholders, states Acting CEO Olav Sem Austmo.
To date, Aneo has developed five downstream product areas that collectively have seen significant growth in turnover. These areas have secured important positions in markets with great potential to contribute to the Nordic energy transition, as well as value creation for the group. The group's strategy process has shown that our downstream product areas need flexibility and growth capital to realize opportunities and ensure healthy growth in each area. We are confident that a new organization will support our ambitions in electrification and energy efficiency in the Nordic region.
A result of the changes is that the Market and Electrification unit in Aneo will be dissolved.
This means that the current group director, Tarje Holskil, will leave the group.
– Tarje has done an impressive job establishing and boosting the revenue within several of our downstream market areas, contributing to us taking significant market positions in fields that will be important for the company's value creation in the coming years, says Austmo.
Holskil will, in agreement with the CEO, assist in a good transfer of expertise and ensure the smooth transition to the new organization.
