Together with EnBW, Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, the renewable energy company Aneo is taking a new step into the Nordic region by becoming a market player for electricity trading in Sweden.

As part of Aneo's strategy, the company has now taken a new step into the Nordics by becoming a market player in Sweden. On behalf of EnBW, Aneo will manage physical power trading and balancing services for the Trattberget wind farm. The wind farm is owned by VindIn AB, located in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik, and has an annual production of approximately 200 GWh.

- We are pleased to establish a collaboration with EnBW. This is an important milestone for Aneo and Energy Management, says Hilde Landsem, Executive Vice President of Energy Management at Aneo.

Built for Growth in the Nordics

The digital platform, expertise, and models that Aneo has established are built for growth in the Nordics.

- Our unit, Energy Management, builds models and automated solutions that enable Aneo to actively participate in the various power markets. The services in Sweden will be carried out using the same platform and expertise from Norway that we use in managing today's production portfolio of over 6 TWh, explains Ragnhild Remmen Bull, Head of Energy Management Services at Aneo.

Energy Giant in Europe

With over 26,000 employees, EnBW is one of the largest energy companies in Germany and Europe. It supplies around 5.5 million customers with electricity, gas, water, as well as services and products within infrastructure and energy. The expansion of renewable energy is a central part of the company's growth strategy. EnBW will invest around 4 billion euros in further development of wind and solar energy, and by the end of 2025, more than half of the production portfolio will consist of renewable energy. EnBW aims to become climate neutral by 2035.

- EnBW has significant weight and experience in the Nordic and European power markets, making EnBW an attractive partner for Aneo in the Nordics. We look forward to starting the collaboration and strongly believe that together we can contribute to the energy transition in Europe, says Landsem.
