In February, Aneo Vind assumed full-service responsibility for the Roan wind farm from Vestas. During 2024/2025, they will become the full-service operator for several parks in the Midgard portfolio.
The takeover as a full-service operator at Roan Wind Farm marks the beginning of implementing a larger strategy to become a complete full-service operator for wind farms.

Building a strong professional environment for profitable growth
The staff at Roan Wind Farm took over responsibility from Vestas on February 8, after several years of preparation. Local work and adaptations at Roan have been carried out with strong support from the engineering team at Aneo’s headquarters in Trondheim.
– With this, we ensure the local presence of competent technicians in the wind farms, and together with skilled engineers, it gives us the opportunity to achieve faster response in emergency situations and when handling technical faults, which will further enhance both our reputation and value creation. We've spent the first weeks testing operations, and we see that it is working well, says Børre Sivertsvoll, Head of the Renewable Operations Unit at Aneo.
Aneo also believes they strengthen their own competitive advantage by now taking over the operation of the wind farm.
– We are now strengthening our competitive edge as a service provider to wind power plants by building an even stronger professional and operational environment. This will also provide us with a strong foundation for profitable growth – both in Trøndelag and in Scandinavia more broadly, says Gunnar Hovland.
Taking over the operation of more wind power plants
In addition to the takeover at Roan, Aneo will also assume the full-service agreements from Vestas for other wind power plants in the Midgard portfolio during 2024/2025. The Frøya Wind Farm on Frøya and the Hundhammerfjellet Wind Farm in Nærøysund are the next parks the renewable company will take full service responsibility for.
